Circumstances beyond my control

Last Saturday the Southern Man and I returned from our southern sojourn...three weeks on the road...ready to share the highlights, I turned on my computer last Sunday...and...and...it was not meant to be.

So I have been computer-less while I figure the next step...I had been a PC girl...do I really want to make the switch to Apple?  I'm typing this on the Southern Man's iPad...which has it's limitations...

So in the meantime, I'm still posting to Instagram and my four corners design FB page (thank god for my smartphone!) so you can catch up with me there...

Wish me luck with this computer adventure...I hope to be back in full operating mode soon!

  1. I'm a devout PC gal. I don't like Apple products. Although obviously many people love them. There's more hype than substance there IMHO. Just my two cents...

  2. Everyday I learn something from Connie Rose! Yesterday it was IMO, which I grabbed and used immediately. And now she has topped it, IMHO is even better for my needs. TMI?
Anyway, glad you're home safe Amy, and I wish you peace and patience ... which is what I lack when my computer/network fails me. ;op I am an apple fan, except for the $$$.

  3. I am a converted girl!! I moved over to Apple products about a month ago and I'm loving them. It does take a little getting used to, but now when I use my work PC I find myself trying to do things the MAC way!

  4. We talked about this very thing when you were here. Figuring this out may not be easy, but I have faith that you will. How do you feel about learning a whole new system? Good luck, sweetie.

  5. From somebody who had always been a die-hard PC fan, I switched about 2 years ago and have never looked back. Do it!

  6. It's a good thing we have options available, limited as they are. I've been a Mac girl forever.

  7. I love my MacBook Pro. If you get one, get the biggest screen possible. that's my regret and I'm very seriously thinking about buying a new one. I think it's true that once you go Mac you never go back. Now the IPhone is a whole different story. Not at all happy with that.

  9. Mac and I get along very well which actually says a lot because I'm not much of a computer lover of any stretch of the imagination. Good luck, Amy.

  10. Just so you know… you could set your mac up to run on two systems so that you could keep your original way of organizing folders and such if you want. A photographer friend of mine did that some time ago and has found it seamless (once she got it set up and got used to it). I always think graphic artists and photographers eventually migrate to apple…. Best of luck… there is no 'right' decision… it will come to you...
