Behind the scenes

The end of summer is turning into quite the exciting time...so much happening...so much on the horizon...

First and foremost - I am proud to have our home featured in the October/November issue of Cottages & Bungalows magazine...

Last October, Jickie Torres, editor and Bret Gum, photographer spent a long and crazy day here...photographing every nook and cranny...here's a few shots to show you what goes on behind the camera...

A quick run to the local grocery store provided pumpkins for a seasonal touch...
I was so glad that it was a glorious sunny day...it made the house shine...

Lots going on in the background while getting the perfect shot...

Even Calvin had to get in on all the activity...

stealing Jickie's heart...

At the end of day, all were tired and exhausted...and it was hard to have to wait so long to see how it all turned out...

But I'm pleased as can be with it...and I invite you to pick up a copy at your local newsstand or grocery store...I share lots of ideas for incorporating vintage treasures into your home...I think you'll enjoy it...

    1. Not at all LC...its Sea Oats, Sherwin Williams paint number 8019...it was one of the Martha Stewart colors but I don't think they carry that line anymore - I bought the paint over 12 years ago...but with the reference name and number, they should still have the formula to make it - good luck!
and I hope you get this message...your email is not enabled on your Blogger profile so I couldn't email you directly...

    1. I'm sorry Nadine that you weren't able to find a copy - most of the grocery stores had them in the Seattle area...I think it was only to be on the stands until the end of October so you may be out of luck there - but I know of one other woman who found a copy of Ebay to pay if that route interests you - good luck!

    2. I checked all the grocery stores, Target, Lowe's, Home Depot, Wal-Mart (2), Sam's & Barnes & Noble. No one had it. B&N said they hadn't been shipped any. Maybe I'll see if our library has it.
