confidence

If a man does not keep pace with his companions,
perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.

Let him step to the music he hears,
however measured or faraway.

                                                          Henry David Thoreau

My old kazoo from college days...when hearing a different drummer was all the rage...
I did not mean to sound so desperate in my last post...just an off day...back on track now...
keeping pace with that different drummer...

Joining the group over at kim klassen's Friday Finds...where my find is getting back on track,
listening to that drummer...thanks to the kind comments of blogging friends...

  4. What a great image! Complete with kazoo and music sheets. Love it, Amy.
And the Thoreau quote is an old favorite--of course!
    Glad you're doing fine.

  5. Love that kazoo with the red ribbon, perfect! The next show will be great. Nobody can keep having great days/shows/stories because eventually you need a reset, so you can keep building towards more great days/shows/stories.

  6. I have no musical talent at all, but I wonder if perhaps I might master the kazoo? Regardless, your image and message today are an encouragement to me. Sometimes I feel a bit out of step with the world and then I get lost in making something and it all feels right again. So glad to hear you've found your happy place too!

  9. Hi Amy, I'm so sorry to hear that you had a rather unpleasant show. Hopefully the next one will be a lot better with a more open-minded audience. Imagine the homes of the people who made rude comments. Probably boring and interchangable. Your art needs better places to live in.
Have a creative and joyful weekend!
    Hugs,
    Julia
