the last number of days have been very gray and damp...
a steady rain that seems to say "slow down, don't go too fast"
a good plan for the new year...let's ease into it...acknowledge each day...
without wishing instead for the ones yet to come...
though difficult to discern from the photo...the silver baby cup is monogrammed with N.O.W.
I have no idea who this is...but the idea of making the present moment count is what captured my attention...
the diminished light gives a blurred edge to my photographs without any additional tweaking...

A cup with N,O.W that's quite cool.

ReplyDeleteI read a wonderful little post over at The Locust Blossom, A Long Winters Nap, this morning that expresses much of your sentiment here. Love the photo! I agree, lets ease into the new year...

ReplyDeleteGreat cup and I love the idea of living each moment to its fullest, in the NOW.
ReplyDeleteNow that is hard and soft at its best! :-)
ReplyDeleteAmy, My favorite pictures are always those with clean and simple compositions and a clear focus - and this image is just that. Your ability to combine seemingly unrelated objects in creative ways is one of your strengths - and this image invites mindfulness and a the nuance of NOW as light as a feather yet as grounded as a plate for dinner. Beautiful photograph!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful still life!
